Technical requirements
Official Adobe Stock requirements for video files:
- Container: MOV, MP4, MPG or AVI;
- Resolution: minimum 1280×720, Full HD 1920×1080 or 4K recommended;
- Codecs: h264, ProRes, PNG preferred;
- Duration: 5 to 60 seconds;
- File size: up to 3,900 MB (3.9 GB).
Why your video never appears after upload
The most common contributor complaint: the video was uploaded via FTP but never shows up in the dashboard. Adobe Stock displays no errors — the file is simply discarded at intake. Causes, by frequency:
- resolution below 1280×720 — typical for AI-generated clips (752×416, 640×360);
- duration under 5 seconds (short loops) or over 60;
- unsupported codec (VP9, AV1 inside an MP4 container);
- wrong file extension during FTP upload (an MP4 sent as .jpg is dropped silently).
Video metadata on Adobe Stock
Like photos, video needs a title (up to 200 characters), up to 49 keywords and — unlike photos — a mandatory category. Adobe reads XMP directly from MP4/MOV: embed the metadata and the submission form arrives pre-filled.

Video below 720p: upscale to Full HD

How long does video processing take on Adobe Stock?
Longer than photos: from a few hours to a day after upload. If a video hasn't appeared after 24 hours, it was discarded — check its parameters with the checker.
Do videos need Model/Property Releases?
Yes, same rules as photos: recognizable people require a Model Release, private property a Property Release. AI video is submitted as an illustration flagged Generative AI.
Does Adobe Stock accept AI video?
Yes, AI footage is accepted under the general rules: a «Created with generative AI» flag and no real people, brands or places without releases.
Can I upload 4K?
Yes, 4K is welcome and sells for more. The only limit is the 3.9 GB file size.
