How the AI picks stock keywords
The service sends your image to a multimodal model with a microstock-tuned prompt: main subject and action first, then setting, style, colors, emotions and concepts. You get a structured tag set, not a random list.
The keyword count is configurable per agency: up to 47 for Adobe Stock, 40 for Freepik, 50 for Shutterstock.
Keyword limits on popular stock sites
- Adobe Stock — up to 49 keywords, title up to 200 characters. The first 7–10 tags weigh the most in search.
- Shutterstock — up to 50 keywords, description up to 200 characters.
- Freepik — up to 40 keywords, title strictly up to 100 characters.
- Dreamstime — up to 50 keywords.

What language are the keywords in?
English — the standard of every major microstock. Buyers search in English even when the agency UI is localized.
Is 10 keywords enough, or should I use all 49?
25–45 relevant tags is the sweet spot. Irrelevant tag spam gets demoted in search; 5–10 tags means missed buyer queries.
Can I use my own prompt?
Yes. There is a prompt template in settings, and you can add a hint per batch or per image — e.g. “a winter landscape series”.
