What exactly does the cleaning do?
It splits by commas and lines, trims whitespace and stray characters, removes duplicates, lowercases everything and optionally sorts A–Z. Tags over 100 characters are dropped — agencies won't accept them anyway.
Why lowercase?
Stock search is case-insensitive, and uniform case removes pseudo-duplicates like «Cat» and «cat» that some agencies count as separate tags.
How many tags should I keep after cleaning?
Follow the limits: Adobe Stock — up to 49, Shutterstock — 7–50, Freepik — up to 40. Check the count with our keyword counter.
